On our group course we have a maximum number of 4 students for each intake. Each course has been created by our Head Training Specialist and Founder, Moya Wren. The course is delivered by either Moya or one of her advanced affiliate artists to support the learning process within the group. They will also assist Moya in the delivery of the practical elements of the course and provide support to students when required.
We invite any enquiries for 1-2-1 training, although the most affordable option is to book on our group course. If you would like to enquire about training delivered exclusively for staff within your organisation, please get in touch and we can find out more about your requirements and put together a package where possible.
The hand tool is often referred to as Microblading, as the desired appearance is achieved by using a blade manually (by hand). The digital tool is referred to as Machine Method where the pigment is implanted using a digital tool. Both Microblading and the Machine Method are forms of Permanent Make Up tattooing where pigments are deposited into the upper dermal layer of the skin. The two methods require a high level of skill and our courses are designed to equip you with the necessary skills to carry out the treatments to an exceptionally high standard.
We have designed a Training Manual for you to study at home in preparation for the practical element of the course. We provide a recommended training plan to ensure you have given yourself enough time to study and review the content. There are module assessments designed to recap each section and highlight areas that you may need to spend more time studying. There are three online third party exams included in our course cost that have been selected to give you all the knowledge required to practice as a PMU Artist once qualified. The courses are; First Aid Certification, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, Anatomy and Physiology and Tattoo Infection Control Certification. We would advise you review the health and safety section of the manual and aim to sit the three exams on one sitting while all the content is fresh in your mind. These certifications will assist you with local council tattoo licensing applications that you are legally required to obtain to practise as a PMU Artist. More information on license's required are covered in the training itself.
Our training courses are accredited by the CPD Accreditation Group through our partner organisation The Wynyard Aesthetics Academy, who is an approved qualification UK Centre provider of CPD Accreditation Group and who act as our external moderation facility. Our courses meet a prescribed set of learning outcomes mapped against the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) and are fully accredited at Level 4.
As part of your course cost, we supply the kit you will need to complete the course and get started as a PMU Artist once qualified. A full breakdown of kit contents can be found in the course prospectus.
Once you have received your manual and online logins we recommend you allow 6-8 weeks to study and complete this section of learning. Then you will attend 2 consecutive studio training days to complete your learning. You will then have 6 weeks to practice the skills and techniques you have been taught, complete your workbooks and theory practice before returning to sit your live model day. After this you will be qualified in PMU. However we do require 5 case studies with photographic evidence of before and after pictures and all theory completely finished before we can award you with your level 4 certificate. Finally you will then attend a free shadowing day in the studio with a trainer of your choice.
Yes you can bring your own model with you for the live model day, however if you prefer we can arrange one for you.
